Welcome to Innovating Yourself
For high-agency individuals who are done with the wrong playbook.
You’re here because something isn’t working the way it should.
Not because you lack capability. Not because you lack ambition. But because the playbook you inherited — the one handed to you by school, by institutions, by decades of conventional career advice — wasn’t built for how you actually operate.
That playbook has three commandments:
Look for problems first.
Make something of yourself.
Transform gradually.
It works fine for institutions designed for stability and predictability.
For high-agency individuals, it’s kryptonite.
I know because I lived it.
For over 20 years I worked with Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, and other comics industry giants during some of the most disruptive years any industry has seen. I watched some people innovate themselves again and again. Others froze, waiting for stability to return.
I almost became the second kind.
Until I realized my real problem wasn’t the disruption around me.
It was the playbook I was running.
That realization made me Client Zero — the first test case of the MVP Framework. A human algorithm built around three forces:
Mindset. See opportunity where others see problems. Volition. Operate through your natural strengths — not against them. Process. Transform rapidly instead of waiting for permission.
That’s what this newsletter is about.
Every week I publish one essay that goes deeper into what it means to operate as a high-agency individual in the Age of the Individual — with your wiring, your strengths, and your own playbook.
No hacks. No hustle gospel. No borrowed framework that wasn’t built for you.
Just a new playbook.
